Wild Belonging Women's Half-Day Bealtaine Retreat | 30 April 2023 | Cork City

€80.00
FULLY BOOKED

Blossoming into Being

30 April 2023 | 10am – 2pm

Taking place on the eve of Bealtaine, the Celtic festival that marks the beginning of summer, this change in season invites us to celebrate the beauty of nature as she blooms into her fullness, to listen inside to what longs to bloom within our own selves, and to welcome the possibilities that can arise with the return of the light.

Drawing on gentle yoga, somatic movement practices, embodied enquiries, ritual and poetry, we will journey down into the felt sense of our bodies, attuning to the language of instinct and intuition, and listening to the feminine wisdom deep inside our bones.

As the natural world transitions into the brighter months of the year, we can feel the warm stirrings of summer as nature slowly unfurls and begins to blossom into fullness. In the spirit of Bealtaine (that translates from old Gaelic to “Bright Fire”), we will turn our attention inwards to shine light on our deepest desires and longings, listening within to how we can support ourselves in our own unfurling and blossoming so that, just like nature, we too can express the light of our own vitality, aliveness and fullness of being.

We will also support the settling of our nervous systems to bring us into a place of restoration and deep rest, as well as deepening our awareness of what brings joy and nourishment to our bodies.

It is my hope that this half day retreat will offer you the nourishment of renewed connection with your body and the medicine of gathering together within a circle of women. You will be offered somatic resources and guided meditation recordings to support you in your daily life.

This retreat takes place at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork City. Tea and nourishing snacks are included.

Booking is essential. Please note - tickets are non-refundable but are transferable.

"I hope that you will go out and let stories, that is life, happen to you.
And that you will work with these stories from your life, not someone else’s life.
Water them with your blood and tears and your laughter until they bloom,
until you yourself burst into bloom. That is the work. The only work”
- Clarissa Pinkola Estés
